Verify packages build with both stable and nightly toolchains

This is largely just to be aware of issues to come, e.g. new lints. I think it would be fine to allow the nightly builds to fail, and we also probably don't need to run the checks for each push/PR either; I think scheduling it to run once per day is adequate.
