Steps to reproduce

  1. In the message composer
  2. Type [a](http://example.com) and send the message

Outcome

What did you expect?

A link created pointing at the URL I provided (http://example.com)

What happened instead?

A link was created with a trailing /.

If I edit the message, the composer contains [a](http://example.com/) - containing an extra /.

Ubuntu 21.10
