Now I'm going to add 1px solid #21262C; (that's the one used in the RoomHeader) to the .mx_MessageComposer element via browser devtools to visualise where the border is.
Still hard to tell (maybe it's just padding?), but if you're used to the following when there is no empty line, it is more clear:
Obviously there can be a lot more elegant solutions that better indicate that there really is an empty line and not just huge padding to the composer and also look better than this quick demo of text that goes right up to some border without any padding.
