Preview or Select URL-previews and thumbnails before they are sent

A nice feature which is increasingly common is to show the user a preview of what their message is going to look like before being sent... including the URL preview which it's going to pick (optionally letting them select a better preview if they prefer or remove it), or simply showing an image thumbnail preview in or above the composer before sending the msg.

I haven't seen the picker side of things, but the preview itself is common. Here's some screenshots of a few services I tested for design inspiration (or noise, whichever):

WhatsApp (Web)

Facebook - interestingly, it doesn't seem to be supported on mobile

Telegram (Android) - web/desktop looks the same
