Testing requirements

It's easiest to test alerting on cloud. I'd recommend doing that.

Scenarios

• Is there an "Alerts" dropdown in the header on the inventory page?
  • Can you open the alerts flyout from the dropdown?
  • Can you click a link to manage all alerts
• Can you click a tile in the waffle map and see the option to Create alert
  • When creating an alert from the wafflemap
    • Does the filter box populate with a filter that would target only the current waffle map item e.g. (host.ip = 192.168.1.254)
    • Is the current metric auto-populated in the flyout?
• Can you create an alert?
  • Can you change the metric to any metric that exists on the inventory screen?
  • When you change the metric does the metric unit change to the appropriate unit?
  • Can you change the inventory type in the alert to any other inventory type (hosts, pods, containers)
  • When you change the inventory type, do the options in the metrics field change as well? (hosts should have more metrics in the dropdown)
  • Can you change the time range?
  • Can you add/delete multiple conditions?
  • If you create an alert, does the alert fire when expected?
  • Are there multiple alerts if there are multiple inventory items in an alert state?
• Can you use the central alert management screen (https://localhost:5601/hzp/app/kibana#/management/kibana/triggersActions/alerts)?
  • After you've created an alert can you change the metric, item type, and add conditions?
  • Can you create an Inventory alert from the central management UI?
