Why do we need so many avatars???

Why do we need so many avatars shortcodes???
News has it's own avatar shortcodes ({NEWS_AVATAR} & {NEWS_USER_AVATAR}), forum also ({AVATAR]), comments also ({COMMENT_AVATAR})....

Is that hard to have just a common core shortcode that could cover all the possibilities to display the avatar????

My opinion: I prefer simple shortcodes doing what they should to... instead of one big shortcode covering all scenarios.
You can have one general avatar like {AVATAR} but each place/plugin should have their own version {NEWS_AVATAR}, {FORUM_AVATAR} etc. they can call inside core {AVATAR} but using the same shortcode on all places is not good idea for me.

Imagine you want to override only news avatar in theme shortcodes... And you will still need them because of legacy stuff...

But do as you like, I use only fixed 2.3.3 on live sites so if this will be tested... why not? If this improves something, do it.
