Today I received a message that the company has decided to deprecate .net in favor of java technology. Although .net is now open, at least in China, the software development of the entire country is almost dominated by languages such as java/go/js. Even though .net is a more suitable technology in our company, because java has taken the mainstream in the whole field, the business orientation has been completely biased towards java/go/js and other fields. Our company used wince before, but Microsoft gave up, which directly led to hardware A maintainable system with no subsequent upgrades. So the company had to use android instead of wince. .net in the hardware and embedded fields is also continuing to fail due to the lack of embedded systems such as wince (no successor). I really like C# as a language. But unfortunately, from 2023, developers across the company will start writing Java.
I like .net, I come from a poor family, I don't have enough money to start my own business, I have to adapt to the company's decisions. From 2023, maybe I too will have to adapt to the company's decision and start writing java code. But even so, I'll stick to using .net to develop some of my own tools or something, but obviously, the areas where .net can be used are not good enough. For example, the development experience of Xamarin is very bad (currently the company is using this technology, and subsequent companies have decided to use java to develop Android native applications to replace Xamarin).
I love .net.
Good luck with .net/C#.
