The certificate chain was issued by an authority that is not trusted #1556
Comments
Transferred to SqlClient as this is unrelated to EF Core. |
might related to #1210 |
@changhuixu Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.SqlServer 6.0.3 uses Microsoft.Data.SqlClient 2.1.0 . It should not be effected by #1210 unless you are using another package that uses M.D.S 4.0 as dependency as in case dotnet/efcore#27062. You can share Repro or csproj to avoid any such scenarios. I suggest try these steps along with setting TrustServerCertificate=true. see comment #609 (comment) I will try to setup and see if error occurs on my end. |
@Kaur-Parminder yes, you are right. I was referencing "Microsoft.Data.SqlClient" Version="4.1.0". After installing a certificate and binding to SQL server, setting Do you have suggestions on which way is the best? |
It is almost always better to use Microsft.Data.SqlClient over the System version. |
@changhuixu System.Data.SqlClient is supported with bug fixes and security patches moving forwards. Microsoft.Data.SqlClient will be the only place we will be implementing new features going forward. Edit: If you do not require further support, Please close the issue. |
Thank you. |
