When popover is visible, status bar is shown

In my app I've decided to hide the status bar but when I click on a button to show a popover, the status bar is shown.

React 16.2.0
React native 0.52.2
react-native-modal-popover 0.0.5

Sorry, couldn't check this issue this weekend, but closed some others. Will check this in a week.
Maybe you could provide some screenshot and/or code samples to make this easier for me.
