Qt 4.x is not current version, Qt 5.x is current and idb should aim to use Qt 5. Unfortunately the "qtbindings" gem only supports Qt 4.x currently and it seems that the only Qt5 bindings are those based on QML (ruby-qml: https://seanchas116.github.io/ruby-qml/). I don't know whether ruby-qml is sufficient for the needs of idb but in any case it would likely involve some significant work.
