The Schema Bib Extend Community Group is also discussing how to express holdings with schema.org vocabulary. Suggested approaches, so far:

The bibextend approach is very similar but it seems that there are less connections.

Hi! As one of the primary people behind the Holdings proposal and corresponding implementations in Evergreen, Koha, and VuFind, I'm happy to talk about the Schema BibEx work.

The most important aspect is that we opted to support the http://www.w3.org/community/schemabibex/wiki/Holdings_via_Offer approach; the "Holdings" link was a draft that is not particularly relevant any more.

Talking about this in a github issue seems weird, but I'll go whereever the discussion is happening :)
