Currently, we are not doing anything about TFVars.

Considerations / questions:

  • Where to store TFVars? At least one user stores them in S3. We might want to provide some kind of a "TFVars manager"
  • UX to view / change TFVars. Should it be in Dashboard? User-facing CLI?
  • Taking them from outputs of upstream projects

Also, from a user (June 2023):

One microservice is one Github repository under main branch. ( we have 10 microservices = 10 Github repositories
30 AWS accounts where we deploy our microservices. ( that's 15 customers where we deploy 2 AWS accounts per customer, sandbox and prod
Based on that, it's a complex setup where we need to maintain and deploy 10 microservices per AWS account, but each AWS account microservice has different variables.
