Please merge github.io/lints
and dart.dev/linter-rules
web pages
#50877
Comments
The linter rules were added to https://dart.dev/tools/linter-rules since the dart.dev site links to the them a lot and going between websites was interruptive to the user experience, while https://dart-lang.github.io/linter/lints/ needs to remain for now as a lot of tools still link to there. The current plan is likely to incorporate lint documentation with the other diagnostics (https://dart.dev/tools/diagnostic-messages), so that's the intended solution to the duplication. I'm not sure if there is currently a single issue tracking this work, but this comment discusses it a bit: #58979 |
That's my understanding too. We'll be starting the planning process early in the new year and hope to have a road map for how to make this transition with minimal disruptions for users. @MaryaBelanger just as an FYI |
This is another one with info site-www/#4393. Thanks for bringing it up @gintominto5329 ! |
Please close this issue, if the progress is being(or would be) tracked anywhere else |
Circling back to this, https://dart-lang.github.io/linter and its pages all redirect to their equivalents at https://dart.dev/tools/linter-rules after #59186 was completed. Thanks again for opening an issue :) |
Hello,
dart-lang.github.io/linter/lints, and dart.dev/tools/linter-rules, both provide almost the same info,
This separation just adds duplication and confusion,
Thanking you
