Will Kitty's updates continue? Very much looking forward to the latest release.

KiTTY is a fork from version 0.76 of PuTTY, the best telnet / SSH client in the world.
As described, I also think it's the best.

It's not clear to me how Kitty will develop in the future.
I don't know if Kitty is on the right side to face the next challenge, or if there is a plan to synchronize the putty changes.

Every update to Putty by Kitty requires a huge amount of work, and even starts all over again every time.
I wonder if Kitty's update mode will change??

I found another branch of putty, puttycac is updated in a very different way than kitty.
It keeps putty in its original state while adding its own unique code. After Putty follows the new, it can be updated synchronously very quickly.
If kitty could be updated using a similar method, it would reduce a lot of work.Because Kitty has changed a lot of changes to Putty, the initial task is very large and arduous.

I don't know if the idea is great. But I hope Kitty has always been around and has always been excellent.

Given the latest putty release is now 0.83, its probably a given that kitty is dead.

I have problems with some newer systems due to ssh KEX and CIPHER algorithem moving on, and equal issue with older systems where KEX algorithms are no longer supported (or at least have to be manually enabled). There may be a day soon when I am forced to abandon kitty completely.

I love it so much I'm tempted to patch over the parts I care about to yet another fork of putty.

Puttie (https://github.com/lalbornoz/PuTTie) was a good prospect, but was also abandoned by maintainer after 2 years of development. I've try many other SSH clients, including MobaXTerm Pro, Termius and others, but the only one SSH manager I can use is still Superputty, using Putty or its fork to maintain SSH connection (worth mention that Superputty itself can integrate with Kitty - can look into Windows Registry in HKEY_CURRENT_USER used by Kitty which is different than Putty is using). And still Putty with its intended restrictions is the only one alternative, which is sad.

Is there any other Putty fork with Kitty / Puttie features, but actively maintained and developed?

I really hope KiTTY is not abandoned, it truly is the best. I still find new useful features even after many years of using it. I wish I could help move it along but I have no idea where to even start.

It is too bad to see this project no longer in development. My guess is that cyd01 was no longer able to compile KiTTY using newer versions of PuTTY (I know there were problems in the past where functionality of KiTTY had to be removed in order to be able to compile), and decided just to abandon ship.
