CRAFTING A CHEST CAUSES CRASH

I have a strange crash, when I try making a chest in a crafting table, I will randomly get this crash - usually happens when I hold a stack of 64 planks in my hand (any kind of wood) and dispense the wood in the crafting pattern so that all the slots fill automatically with an even amount of wood. Once the wood gets to filling the final slot with the amount, the system hangs on the last slot, not completing the pattern, but instead the following crash happens.

That's a bizarre crash.
What mods do you have? That crash shouldn't happen in normal situations

ok, I added you to the whitelist, also, I down graded NEI to a lower version - that seems to have a resolved a few crashes too. I updated the Mod Pack link, up top to include the new pack. Give it a try... we'd love to have you on our server - its brand new and we are just starting out fresh.

Crashed again - this time its happening when I look in NEI Recipe (pressing R) over an item to see its recipe

Okay, I've managed to run the pack but looking up recipes on NEI for the chests didn't crash anything.
Could you send me your config folder as well?
