In the fitting log of Artemis I am receiving the following error message after clicking fit for all paths no matter what rmax value I use:

The R effective for this path is much larger than the rmax value chosen for the fit to the data.

I am thinking this might be a bug (from an recent update perhaps) because I have tried fitting with project files that worked fine just a month ago. This is happening to all my projects and fits even after re-downloading Demeter suite.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

There haven't been any changes of late.

Does this problem show itself with the larch backend? With the Ifeffit backend?

Without examining the project file, I cannot speculate on what is triggering this warning. The figure you attached illustrates the result of the problem without giving me any help to actually understand the source of the problem.

Does clicking on the third item in the "Main Window --> Fit --> Disable sanity checks" menu at least help the fit run to completion? Seeing that might help you figure out what is triggering the problem.

I am not sure but I think Ifeffit backend.

Disabling the sanity check relating to rmax did allow the fit to go to completion and correctly.

Thank you for the help. Not sure why this setting was changed but the advice solved my issue!
