For example,「髙橋」 髙 is a variant form of 高. This would be most useful for the name and kanji dictionaries, but it may be reasonable to apply to all dictionaries. Variant form data can be found in the Unicode Han database, see e.g. https://www.unicode.org/cgi-bin/GetUnihanData.pl?codepoint=%E9%AB%99.

An explanation of all variant types can be found at https://www.unicode.org/reports/tr38/index.html#N10211 . Z variants and Semantic variants should probably both be included.
