Thanks I'd like to give 🙌

• I would like to thank @petersudmant profusely for his incredible hacking to resolve Request python package Qiime2 and RPy2 for class CCB 293! #2737 which proved to be a complex use case than we thought. Appreciate it :)
• Another huge thanks to @yuvipanda for filtering the weird 503 errors in our infrastructure log through Reduce baseline 503s in our hub infrastructure #2844
• Thanks @ryanlovett for helping with setting up sops locally!

Updates from last week ✔

• Last week was my first in-person week at Berkeley :). Worked with Eric and Erfan at AIS to figure out the logistics for the intro to jupyterhubs workshop on 10/13. Also, Worked on the case study presentation for our workshop.
• Mostly working on the next steps assigned from the October sprint planning meeting which includes improving the documentation for technical stuff.
• Worked closely with Peter to set up a custom environment with the conda packages. This was installed in the biology hub for the genomics class which starts this week. It was a great learning experience and a good additional use case for evangelizing our services as we imported a custom conda environment as part of the jupyter notebooks.
• Responding to requests from the teaching team!
• From a support process perspective, figuring out ways to operationalize the following, I) Status page for outage communication and ii) Piazza channel for troubleshooting issues. I will work with @felder for both of these scenarios.

• We are having low registration for the workshops. Would be helpful to hear more about creative ways to increase the outreach for these workshops.
