Dear @baedert,

I have added multiple accounts to Corebird 1.2 - which by the way works incredibly well! - and now I am wondering if I can receive notifications for all these accounts simultaenously?

Is this technically possible?

Thankfully,

~Robert

Well yes, does it not work?

Dear @baedert,

That's great to know!

I couldn't confirm it as I had just added multiple accounts and realised that,
in order to write a tweet, I had to first select the account from the menu.

That made me wonder whether notifications for multiple accounts would work or
only for the currently active one.

Warmly,

~Robert

Ah, yes, you will only get notifications for the accounts you have a window open.

Current master has a --start-service switch that will start all startup accounts and keep their streaming connections alive independent from the windows you have opened.

That's what I was looking for! Will this make it into the next release and
have an option in the graphical user interface, too?

It will of course make it into the next release, but a UI option doesn't make a lot of sense iMO since one use case is to have the service running without any open window.

I see.

Thus, I could add corebird \--start-service to my startup applications and
it would prompt me with notifications without the need to have th UI open?

That's indeed a cool idea. :-)

Oh, your replies get weirdly formatted here, looks like most of it is a quote.

Yes, that's the plan, but I'm not sure if the current version is very good; we'll see.

I'm sorry for this! I use the reply by email function in Nylas N1 and this seems to screw up the formatting. I will investigate this further.

Thanks for all your help so far!
