Vessel Startup Error

I just install Vessel on Mac OSX and I am getting the following error:

Vessel Startup Error
I could not find the Vagrant application. Please ensure that Vagrant is installed and is in the global PATH.
Please correct this error and start Vessel again.

But I already have Vagrant installed on global path

$ vagrant --version
Vagrant 1.7.4

What can I do?

+1 This is also happening to me and I have the same version installed in /opt/vagrant and /usr/local/bin/vagrant

I get the exact same error after a fresh install of vessel on OSX El Capitan.
vagrant --version => Vagrant 1.8.1
if anybody can help ...

+1 the same error, vagrant is in PATH
➜ ~ vagrant --version
Vagrant 1.8.1
