Query total: The icons are confusing

What problem does this address?

When I inserted this block I honestly did not even understand that there was an option in the toolbar.
I was reading the code of the block and saw that there were supposed to be more settings, but it took me way too long to find them.
The icon with the broken dash does not represent display options to me.

These confusing icons could be avoided if the setting was moved to the block settings sidebar, as toggles.

I know choosing icons is difficult but I don't understand in what way the block icon represents a presentation of the number of results.
This icon makes me think that the block is some sort of math block where I am doing advanced calculations.

My guess is that the icon probably represents sigma, the mathematical operator for summation.

The broken dash is basically a representation of range and thats what kinda is displayed - the range of posts being displayed. The idea of the appearance option in toolbar is adopted from the button block.

An icon that require an explanation is not ideal, since
1). There is no room to explain the icon to the user
2). The interface should not require a second thought when using it, it needs to be obvious and easy to use.
