input stops working while using EXTERNAL APPLICATION called synergy

When using Synergy that shares keyboard and mouse to other PCs, input stops working to windower 4 randomly after input returns to original PC after it was shared. This doesn't happen right away, but always happens eventually, but once it does happen the only way to fix it is to kill windower 4 and log in again. The input to MS Windows is fine, just windower 4. Synergy by symless allows you to mutli-box with 2+ computers but only one mouse and keyboard. This does not happen with windower 5, but 5 is not as good as 4. I'm hoping this can be fixed.
