When building 4.3.1 using configure/make, the resulting library is named libnetcdf_c++4. When using cmake/make, the library is named libnetcdf-cxx4. I couldn't find any references or notes about this discrepancy.
Which filename form is "correct", or is the intention to continue using both in future versions?

Sorry for the delayed response; I will ensure that this discrepency is fixed in the release which will follow on the heels of netCDF-C 4.8.1. We will standardize on the autotools-generated filename, libnetcdf_c++4.
