The updates are applied and show up when I print the queryset (lines 9,19), even after the filter is applied. But when the dataset is sent through to the services, it is inconsistent with showing the changes. For example, if I filter by "A01" and edit unit A01A, the changes will show up until I filter again to "A0" or "A01", then it's back to the original. Sometimes if I don't filter it the changes won't show until I apply a long enough filter. It's really confusing. It must be caching the based on the filter, but I don't know why it's showing the updated data after the filter, then changing it. If I restart the server it updates everything. I'm working on following the dataset all the way through, but so far no luck.
