MU based communication

Dear community,

We are currently preparing a pull request showing MU communication between Linux and Zephy RTOS (zephyrproject-rtos/zephyr#8527).
Since the MCC is not the preferred way of communication anymore, we would like to prepare a pull request, which would enable to select between MU or MCC for inter-core communication. This way, the Zephyr community members using UdooNeo could use Udoobuntu and Zephyr together and exchange data between Udoobuntu and Zephyr.

Would such a contribution be likely accepted?
