Feature description
The current Mailer responder does not appear to support TLS in any form, or authentication. It seems to assume that the mail relay will trust the source IP.

This is 2020 not 1990. TLS and auth support is needed to use SMTP.

Describe the solution you'd like

Add TLS and authentication support when communicating with an SMTP server.
