in the meantime, there has been a number of Studio IDE issues "fixed" by deleting the .layout file or the entire "Ide" data folder: https://forum.thegamecreators.com/thread/227225#msg2661900. applying the "fix" may return the functionality (at the cost of any layout/IDE customization)?

Not the same issue but it is the same issue as #1101 but on linux
