Database automatically imported from backup on startup?

I was investigating https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/13344/persistence-of-api-key which reports that the api key is not persisted across restarts.

What I found is that, stirling-pdf takes a dump of the database periodically. When the app is restarted, it will reimport from the last backup dump automatically. Unfortunately, this results in loss of data. For example, if you generated api keys after the generation of dump file.

Is this behavior intentional? What is the solution to make it not reimport database on start up?

Looks like a bug on our side not intended
