【記者江昇綜合報導】「台灣是一個以火力發電為主的國家，但火力發電會有空氣汙染，也需要耗掉很多進口的燃料。」為追求環保、可自給自足的再生能源，龍華科技大學學生團隊研發「通風球液壓系統發電裝置」，希望以通風球的旋轉動力驅動發電機，達成自家用電、自家生產的理想。

工業區的鐵皮屋為了散熱，常會在屋頂裝設數個通風球，透過室內、外的溫差及氣壓差，驅動主機球體旋轉，將熱氣從葉片縫隙排出，其過程不需消耗電力。團隊由此萌生發電裝置的靈感，「能不能增加一個再生能源（裝置），讓它在旋轉的同時，又可以發電？」團隊負責人、機械工程系學生劉耀全說明。透過與發電機連結，通風球能在保有散熱功能的同時，帶來額外的發電效益。此外，與傳統風力發電方式相比，該裝置無須依賴外部風力，當室內溫度高於室外即可穩定發電，對使用者也更加便利。

原先團隊計畫替每一個通風球配置一台發電機，但若使用過多零件，生產和回收的過程都會對環境造成額外負擔，有違環保理念。於是，團隊便改以油壓管串聯各個通風球，將多個通風球的旋轉力量引導至同一處，藉此驅動油壓馬達發電。劉耀全自豪地說：「不管工廠有多大、有多少通風球，我們只要給它一台發電機就夠了。」

不過，自動化企業負責人Jason（化名）認為，通風球發電裝置在節省電力支出方面的幫助有限，「台灣的電力費用相比國外是便宜的。風力發電最後還是要有穩定的風，另外儲電的電池也是一筆大錢。」Jason坦言，若非重視ESG企業責任，一般企業可能較無誘因裝設這項裝置。

為增加企業的使用意願，劉耀全希望藉由模組化設計，進一步降低製造成本，並提升其泛用性。指導老師蘇聖煌也表示，團隊現階段會先尋找願意試用該裝置的工廠，並積極參與各大科技博覽會，「如果反應不錯，就能一傳十、十傳百，把技術推廣出去。」期盼能將這項技術實際應用於工業區當中。
