Oxford, Oxford）於19日響應地區的「零死亡願景」（Vision Zero）計畫，舉辦道路安全活動，期盼能提升用路人的安全意識，並邁進零死亡的終極目標。</p>

「零死亡願景」是歐洲自1990年代開啟的計畫，核心理念為消弭任何交通事故造成的傷亡。「現在每年交通事故死亡人數低於30人，我覺得降低到10人以內都是辦得到的。」牛津大學學生王逸峰樂觀地表達對該地區跟進全球實施零死亡願景的看法。

由於牛津地區徒步區數量多，面積甚至涵蓋大學圖書館、博物館等公共設施周遭，學生幾乎人手一台腳踏車代步。因此，道路安全活動當日有許多自行車攤商，他們宣導自行車用路安全，同時教授簡單的自行車修理方法，供民眾安全上路。主辦方也請來大卡車，讓民眾自由攀爬上車，了解司機的死角與盲區，避免與其發生意外。牛津大學學生涂星月認同這項計畫，並補充該活動可以提升不同用路族群的道路安全意識，例如大車盲區多，自行車族群應該多加注意。

談及牛津地區的交通事故，涂星月氣憤嘆道：「我常常遇到汽車沒有禮讓行人，人流最大的路段也很少紅綠燈，導致行人總是在汽車快速行駛的情況下穿越馬路。」英國道路已逐漸重新規劃，卻仍出現用路人的不便，中原大學設計學院院長趙家麟表示，在牛津求學期間了解到英國市區的道路設計最高目標是「讓行人在任何他想穿越的地方都可以安全行走。」

針對牛津大學主動響應交通安全而舉辦活動，趙家麟坦言：「台灣學生對宣導很無感，不過零死亡願景連宣導影片都拍得很有感覺，宣傳效度比台灣強很多。」台灣的前十大死因中，交通事故死亡一直榜上有名，趙家麟更點出，近年台灣一直在談道路設計，而道路設計要怎麼引導出新的道路文化，只能一步步慢慢來。而國立政治大學交通運輸研究社孫光偉也特別強調，近年其實交通部有嘗試讓公車進入校園，進行實際操作的安全宣導，期盼能將交通教育與道路規劃並進。
