Visualize: Deep linking functionality modifies browser history

Currently when using the visualize page, the deep linking functionality changes the URL for the page, whenever an interactive surface is used.

However each time that URL is modified it adds a navigation step into the browsers history. After a little bit of zooming, the back button becomes effectively useless as the history is filled with junk.

Fix: do not modify browser history when changing the URL.
