PATCH fails with HTTP error "422 Unprocessable Entity"

Hey community, can someone give me a pointer as to what I am doing wrong? At my wit's end here. Sending this curl results in an error: "422 Unprocessable Entity":

My pdns.conf file looks like this, all plain vanilla:

The zone file mydomain.com.zone looks like this:

Could it be some permission problem at mydomain.com.zone ? The zone file ownership is root/root and I set permissions to 777 for testing purposes. No luck!
