<p class="mb-5">Anthony Ferrara is a New York City-based musician and composer. Primarily a tenor saxophonist, he also performs professionally on alto and soprano saxophones, clarinet, flute, piccolo, and EWI (electronic wind instrument). In 2018, Anthony graduated NYU Steinhardt’s Jazz Studies program and received a Downbeat Student Music award in the category of Jazz Soloist.</p>
<p class="mb-5">Anthony plays with a wide array of groups around New York City, including the Stephen Santoro Orchestra, a 1940’s style swing band that plays regularly at Swing 46. He has also performed with The Brass Monkeys, a New Orleans-style brass band that can be found at venues all over the city. He is also an on-call musician for Hank Lane Music, which specializes in providing the highest quality music for weddings and private events in NYC. Anthony regularly performs with their band Sugar Lane.</p>
<p>Anthony's most recent creative project is a video series of original music recorded and filmed live, which you can find on <a href="https://youtu.be/wOh45wuQf5U">YouTube</a> and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/BvxcLrzD3Ls/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet">Instagram</a>. Other projects he has been a part of include recording with Ron McClure on his record for Steeplechase Records. He has performed in various off-broadway productions of musicals including Grease, Urinetown, Fiddler on the Roof, and Anything Goes. Anthony has studied privately with an extensive list of saxophone masters including Chris Potter, Mark Turner, Lenny Pickett, Rich Perry, Dave Pietro, Dann Zinn, and Billy Drewes.
