FAQ
Q: Is this project officially supported by Microsoft?
A: No, this is a personal project that is provided "as is". You can use these web parts at will, in respect of the Open Source license. For any problem, please use the tab "Issues" on Github.
Q: Is that what this project is linked to the "Fantastic 40" web templates, which had been created for SharePoint 2007?
A: No. I reused the "marketing" term because I loved the principle of these templates in 2007. But here are the web parts, not site templates.
Q: Do I need to know compiled the project to use these web parts?
A: No. You can just follow the setup described on this page: https://github.com/OlivierCC/spfx-40-fantastics/wiki/Installation-process
Q: Can I use these web parts on a production site?
A: Not yet. The SharePoint Framework is currently in preview and is subject to change. SharePoint Framework client-side web parts are not currently supported for use in production environments. You can install these WebParts in your SharePoint Online sites, but please remember that these WebParts can change and that you will need to uninstall. Our advice is: use it to test or play with these Web Parts, but not in a production project.
Q: Can I use these web parts with SharePoint Server (and no SharePoint Online)?
A: No for the moment the SharePoint Framework is only available for SharePoint Online.
Q: Is that what these web parts will be available via the Office Store in the future?
A: Perhaps :-)
Q: Can I help develop these web parts?
A: Of course, any help is welcome. Simply develop your changes and submit them via Github.
Q: Under what licensing model these web parts are distributed?
A: These web parts are distributed under the MIT License model. More information here: https://opensource.org/licenses/MIT
