Milestone
The JAWS screen reader user brought up an issue about the way interaction with the restaurant information tables is handled. The problem revolves around the lack of reporting for both the change in focus and the state of the button when a restaurant button is expanded.
Upon expanding the restaurant button, the focus shifts from the list of restaurants to the table containing information about the chosen restaurant. However, the user reported that there are no notifications reported for this change of focus or for the change of the button state from collapsed to expanded. This lack of reporting can leave the user disoriented and unsure of their position within the page.
Furthermore, when the user wants to collapse the restaurant information again, expecting the button to be easily accessible at the top of the table, they instead encounter a blank spot reported by JAWS. This necessitates additional navigation maneuvers, disrupting the user's experience.
