	list return a true list. This means that the applications that is
	written for previous releases of aglib won't work with this new

	table of feature-value pairs.

	* An optional argument for annotation type is added for some
	functions. This optional type argument is used to restrict the
	operation to the annotations of specified type. Affected functions

	* The prefixes AG, Annotation, Anchor, Timeline and Signal of ids
	have been replaced with simpler strings or empty strings. Timeline
	bacomes T, and Annotation becomes E. The rest are replaced with
	empty strings. The numbering scheme is also changed to use base-60
	numbers. The digits come from [0-9A-DF-SU-Za-z]. These changes
	will reduce the size of the AG(AIF) format files, and memory usage
	of the kernel. The changes don't imply modifications of
	applications, since applications are not supposed to manipulate
	ids directly.
	
        * File I/O plugin architecture has been added
	* ATLAS (AIF level 1) format support has been added. Since ATLAS
	data model is a super set of annotaion graph data model, there are
	some restriction on data which ATLAS format plugin can deal
	with. As long as the data is about linear signal like speech
	signal, it should be okay.
	* CAG (Compact Annotation Graph) format has been added. CAG is a
	compact representation of annotation graph data model. It's a
	space saver for a project that has to deal with large quantity of
	data.
	* Java AG wrapper has been added.
	* The format name `AIF' is obsolete. Use `AG' instead.
	* An AG (previously AIF) file can be loaded without DTD
	validation. Also, the DTD location can be specified using options
	parameter of Load function.
	* Store function for AG format has been added for
	completeness. The encoding of the output can be specified using
	options parameter. NB: this doesn't change the encoding of the
	output, but outputs the encoding in the XML header.
	* There were many changes in configuration options. Please check
	Installation from source package section.
	* The aglib source package has been reorganized.
	* This html documentation has been added.
	* Bug fixes.

	wrapper modules automatically.  Note that 'package require ag' is
	now possible for the tcl wrapper.

	* configuration script and makefiles are rewritten to reflect those
	changes

	* encoder-decoder approach in ag wrapper is abandoned.  Instead,
	ag functions are now directly wrapped, still using SWIG.
	
	* 'Load' and 'Store' functions are added to the wrapper modules.
	'load' and 'store' are still possible.

	* 'AG::' namespace is introduced for the tcl wrapper module.
	'AG_' and 'AGF_' prefixes are gone!
