-ns shortcut issue

Using latest version, latest plugy, and d2 1.14d.
I have two shortcuts to the game, one with sound and the other with no sound (-ns)
When I play with the -ns, save & exit, and open the other, the music is muted. I tried without d2dx and this doesn't happen.
