Remove GitLFS due to large data required for this repository and extremely long clone times. Instead replace with functionality that permits installing from an archived, minted source like Zenodo (see a Python example for reference: https://github.com/JGCRI/xanthos/blob/remove-lfs/xanthos/install_supplement.py).
