Hi @gracoba, sorry for the late reply, the team has been a bit busy trying to get GMT 6.0.0rc1 out of the door (and there's still a few things to iron out). Could you maybe specify what was the version of FFTW you upgraded from (and what version you have now). For reference, the version I have on my Debian system is 3.3.7-1, and I think the latest one available from conda is 3.3.8, is that what you have? Alternatively (if you don't have a specific reason to compile from source), you could give the new conda package a go using |

Description of the problem
I made the first installation of GMT6 (built as described), and I ran the pygmt.test() successfully. After update FFTW I got the error message copied here.
