After upgrade to 4.2.0 some icons show briefly then 'disappear'

After i upgraded to 4.2.0 i noticed that the icons specified as new in 4.2.0, when used, show for a split second before showing 'content' box... Other icons that existed previously work normally.

That sounds really strange, could it be a browser issue?
Which one do you use?

hmmm maybe I got it. the browser should be firefox and you should use a wordpress theme that loads an older version of FA on top of 4.2.0 but I can only guess. Please also check your development console

I should've given a few more details about my environment, well i'm not using wordpress so that rules that out.

Ubuntu 14.04
Laravel 4.2
Firefox 31.0
Chrome 36.0.1985.143

confirming its working on chrome, but its failing on firefox

looks like a firefox related issue now

@tagliala Come to think of it, it probably is that, checking through my project and there is a dependency ( i.e. debugbar ) probably loading an older version of font-awesome, will update when i have confirmed

confirmed, once i disabled, the 'extra' fonts working as expected
