Take a look here https://github.com/FelixKratz/JankyBorders There is an example of a bordersrc you can create. Install via Brew If you are using yabai add this to the end of your yabairc This should set a square border for you. That being said, I am still looking to determine how to turn off the rounding inside the border with macos. Should have something shortly. |

@NotAriRay looks like all they are doing is removing the titlebars which allows for the square corners. Use that in combination with my suggestion above. |

Thanks for the tip @logicsec , already using border, switching the border style to square theres this weird overlap and you can still the the original rounded corner

This is do to how Sonoma handles the rendering. I am not aware of a way to fix that. |

I remember having an issue with Space Highlighting as well a while back. Don't forget to update your bar at the bottom or it won't highlight until you've switched spaces, if that doesn't work you can look at my sketchybarrc in my Dots repo to see if there's something missing maybe. |

Another Nord-Themed setup. Lots of work to do to completely switch over to Sketchybar from previous solutions, but I’m quite happy with how things are turning out!

Thank you for the kind words! I spent most of this weekend taking a break from porting plugins and working on cleaning up my code. I also lack any kind of artistic ability so I just looked up some polybar themes and colored them with the basic nord colors. I use rofi/polybar/bspwm on linux and I’m just so happy I can get a similar set up on macOS with alfred/sketchybar/yabai! Sketchybar is significantly more powerful than I had assumed at first glance, I’m definitely going to spend some more time writing plugins and making the bar more responsive to mouse events in the near future! |

Here's mine. Initially started with aerospace but decided to switch back to Rectangle/Multitouch 
Sketchybar details:
Moving app to different space requires manual moving using mouse but it's an alright compromise since letting yabai to move app to different space requires disabling SIP |

Basic Catppuccin setup. Perfectly balanced the offsets with aerospace for usage with notch and external monitors. On external monitors the space on top will be reduced. Unfortunately you cannot see the notch in screenshots :D Thanks a lot for creating sketchybar! It's a great addition for macOS that brought back the ricing feeling that I experienced from linux back in the days.

After poking around, I found a fix to the issue: aerospace has 2 kind of monitor ids you can check the difference between the ids running aerospace list-workspaces --all --format '%{workspace}%{monitor-id}%{monitor-appkit-nsscreen-screens-id}' --json |

I'm only using 1 display at the same time - either the MacBook screen or an external one. That's why I never ran into this issue. Thanks for keeping us in the loop also with the fix, @leonnardo ! I will add it to the config. |

Couldn't find any simple sketchybar config that worked nicely with aerospace The main feature is dynamically hiding and showing your active/inactive workspaces since aerospace has like 31 workspaces by default which is impossible to fit in the toolbar... The little widget in the middle lets you know if any swap memory is being used, it's offset as my macbook has a notch :p |

my config: vertical bar, aerospace, individual window icons per space, aerospace controls Requires aerospace (space management) and yabai (window management). Can remove yabai once aerospace improves window events.

Thanks so much for the in-depth reply. I have made my way through and converted the code to work on my machine. Can't quite figure out an ongoing error with the front_app.title ("front_app.app" confusing me). But mostly I wonder why you need to use plist files for this config? Is it superior to the event listening within aerospace/sketchybar? |

Great config - thank you. I find it very hard to interpret the Sbarlua approach as I was more used to the bash version but this works very well - only missing the app icons per space! |

I wanted to get rid of the mac os App bar and still be able to see notifications. So I wrote a plugin that shows the amount of unread messages for teams, mattermost and outlook. The whole bar gets a slight red color whenever there is a unread message and slight yellow when there is a channel notification without direct mentioning.

My stripped down setup with just the information I need daily. From left to right: left: Icon: Shows if I'm on my inbuilt or external display, then q: 'ram-usage' : 'space used of internal drive' . 'space used of external drive' : 'battery with B for battery, C for cord/charging' [all in % of course] center (hidden by notch): 'little shutdown/restart click_script' e: 'volume percentage in two digits XX, 00-99, FF & AI when audio interface is active' : 'output device' right: 'unread email indicator' : 'logitune status' : 'unified remote' 'cloudflare warp' 'viscosity' 'do not disturb' : 'date' : 'weekday' 'icon and week of the year' *doesn't draw if 0 or if a display has only one space that is empty since that can't be deleted, of course. I regularly run a little script to delete spaces set as a hotkey, since the automatic deletion of empty spaces after switching spaces - I used before - had several issues and it's just easier/trouble-free this way. All elements in right are also clickable like the center item with various functions, for example: clicking on the calendar thingy toggles the visibility of the stock menubar (yabai -m config menubar_opacity 1.00 or 0.00) and indicates that with the red icon seen in picture two. The other ones "light up" white and indicate/toggle different things which should be quite obvious. All numbers are mono-spaced to keep it consistent in width while sometimes I had to set the width manually to achieve a truly static behavior; font: Chivo Mono, since it has a 'normal' 0 and looks quite 'SF Pro'-ish to me. The text of front_app and the audio output device are the latter. The items are all from SF Symbols, of course. I also extensively use skhd, yabai and (send)midi signals to do all the controlling I need. What do you think? Best regards Q |
