Current Behavior

When creating an Alert the Notification Level can be chosen via dropdown.

When editing an alert the Notification Level cannot be changed. eg, from Informational to Warning

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Requires SYSTEM_CONFIGURATION permissions
  2. Navigate in UI to Administration -> Notfications -> Alerts
  3. Create Alert and specify Name and Publisher. Tweak Notification Level if you want.
  4. Edit the Alert. The Notification Level cannot be changed.

Whilst Scope cannot be changed either, Scope is linked to Notification Groups (eg DATASOURCE_MIRRORING for System, PROJECT_AUDIT_CHANGE for Portfolio) and so locking this field is probably a good thing.

Expected Behavior

It should be possible to change the Notification Level when editing an Alert.

Usage of Notification Level should also be documented.
