Vdir with Subdirectories

I noticed that the package doesn't work with Vdirs that have subdirectories unless vdir-repositories is used
is this intended?

I haven't used vdirel for quite a while now as I switch to https://github.com/DamienCassou/khardel. Feel free to try khardel as well or send a PR to vdirel.

I found that later after creating that post. Khardel works somewhat is seem reliable because of it's backend however the integration isn't as good as org-contacts or bbdb would be. I'm now using it along with bbdb and bbdb-vard. Thanks.
