The translate feature translates speech to English. It’s not available when the audio language is already English.

The movie voice is in Chinese, I want to convert and output English subtitles, but after checking the translation and selecting English, I always get this message

if i don't check the translation you can continue. But the output subtitles are only correct for the first 1 minute.
After 1 minute it's all repetitive copy

If I choose Chinese it will convert fine

language means the language of the original movie, translate means the translation into English

Whisper can't translate from English to other languages. Just the other way around.
