‌‌May I ask if it is possible to integrate the expo config plugin microsoft#2415? This would make it much easier to use.

I think current highest priorities of this project are

deploy alpha package that can be used in runtime environment (we've only tested this in e2e test)
setup runtime test environment

After finishing above jobs, we could look into the expo integration. Thank you! cc @kmsbernard
