You can first configure the virtual display to primary, then configure your physical monitor to mirror the virtual display. This still gives you auto resolution match but doesn't care what your primary display's capabilities, and can still display on it. |

My primary monitor (LG 34GN850 ultrawide, 3440x1440) supports every crazy resolution I've tried and will even display 4K (3840x2160) and above. (ie. MacBook Pro Retina resoltions) The monitor does display a warning though if it's not at the native resolution but it's good enough to see an image and troubleshoot if something goes wrong during streaming (ie. the monitor gets stuck at the streaming resolution, etc)
However, the monitor will disconnect itself from the PC after being turned off. (a common DisplayPort problem?) This causes a problem because the PC thinks no monitor or display is connected.
The Virtual display driver solves this but displays the game "offscreen" so I can't troubleshoot if, for example, Apollo crashes or similar.
TLDR:
The ideal solution would be for Apollo to use my primary monitor if connected but fallback to the virtual driver.
Is this possible?
