After linking the knowledge base, the LLM is restricted to strictly retrieving answers from it, but loses the ability to output its own inherent knowledge.

This is my current experience, which limits many use cases. Is it possible to utilize both the content from the knowledge base and the knowledge inherent to the LLM itself?
