We want the hydro, solar and wind profiles to be independent of the capacity of the plants therein.

To do so, we need to divide each plant-profile by its base Pmax. Note that the solar and wind profiles are linear and hence the newly generated power outputs will lie in the [0, 1] range at any hour. This won't be the case for hydro where we expect departures from 1 for a few hours of the year.

Profiles have been normalized. We show below the minimum and maximum value for each plant.

These profiles are located in raw/usa_tamu on the server and named:

  • hydro_vJan2021.csv
  • solar_vJan2021.csv
  • wind_vJan2021.csv
