I am using a CPH so the background is assigned in that template, not the Customizer. When I use the Customizer control to change the background color of the header, the live preview updates to show the selected color when it should not. The front end stays correct, just the live preview is wrong.

Replication steps:

  • Use a CPH with the neutral background
  • Assign that CPH to the homepage
  • Open the Customizer and change the background color of the header
  • The live preview will show you a new color when it should not
