The -PlatformFaultDomainCount parameter is mandatory for VMs using managed disks, ie. when -sku is aligned.

However, the document still points -PlatformFaultDomainCount to be an optional parameter.

Maybe create a separate parameter set for managed disks.

@Ayanmullick Thanks for the feedback! As Unmanaged disks are on the path to deprecation, this should be changed to be a required parameter.
